About Marta
Born in Ukraine in 1995, Marta is a young actress and theatre director specialised in physical and devised theatre.
She grew up between Ukraine, Poland and the UK, and has since gone on to live in Spain, Italy and France.
All this "moving around" has left her speaking 7 languages, a skill which she likes to fool around with in her theatre work. She takes inspiration from companies such as DV8, Theatre de Complicite, Peeping Tom and the musical universe of Meredith Monk and Taku Sugimoto with a pinch of Patti Smith. She has a strong liking for the grotesque, theatre of the absurd and chorus work, trying to develop her individual theatre style with a multidisciplinary approach.
Since graduating from the International School of Theatre Jacques Lecoq in 2019 she has decided to suspend all "moving around" and settle down in Paris. She has since joined First Round ICP and is currently producing and directing her show "Maman. Source. Origine. Cause".
